Jelly Roll Rug - Sunday, Dec 15, 1pm - 6pm
Jelly Roll Rug Class
· 1 Jelly Roll or 42 - 2 ½” strips
· 2 Bosal large rolls- one side must be fusible-
· If you use cotton batting you will need a glue stick, to adhere to your long fabric strip
· A lot of clips see photo below- I got mine on Amazon in bulk
· Jerry’s Jelly Roll Jig
· Sewing machine with Straight AND Zig Zag stitch
· Sew steady table or large sewing machine surface (necessary to keep your rug flat)
· Iron and ironing surface
· Denim needles at least 3 in case any break
· Coordinating thread - 2 spools if small spools, or 1 very large
· Extra bobbins pre wound- your rug will be reversible so same color top and bottom thread is best
· Fabric scissors
· Bring a sack lunch, please be sure your drink has a lid to prevent spillage.
· Pre Sew all jelly roll end to end to make 1 long strip
· Adhere your bosal to the wrong side of your fabric strip or use glue stick
· We will be sewing the OVAL rug. I like the oval because it lays flat much better than the round.
